Vegan Lip Balm by Eco Lips – Flavors, Ingredients, Texture Feel Like, Worth, and Color

So you’re searching for some ethical vegan lip balm that landed you here. Good news – I’ve got you covered.

Recently, I ordered this Vegan Lip Balm by Eco Lips three-pack on Amazon. It comes in three flavors, and I’ve tested them all for a week.

What Are the Flavors?

The three flavors included in the three-pack are lemon-lime, superfruit, and sweet mint.

How Do They Taste?

Each flavor tastes good … not that eating lip balm is the goal or anything.

Flavors

  • Lemon-lime
  • Superfruit
  • Sweet Mint

I’ve tried each Eco Lips Lip Balm flavor, and I’m happy to report that they’re all pleasantly mild. Honestly, I was worried about that when I was purchasing these, so I thought I’d include it here.

I didn’t want something I’d be tasting all day, right? So for me, the mild flavor that these have is perfect.

What Are the Ingredients?

For those seeking vegan lip balm, paying attention to the ingredients list is important. I’ve noticed that some lip balms out there claim to be cruelty-free, which some might interpret as a vegan.

This is not the case.

Oftentimes, these cruelty-free advertised lip balms will be beeswax in them. Before I went vegan, I thought, “What’s wrong with buying honey or products with beeswax? Isn’t that a natural product?”

The answer is yes, honey and beeswax are both naturally made products of bees, but how they are harvested is not cruelty-free.

The following are ingredients taken from the product listing on Amazon:

*Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Fair Trade CertifiedTM *Theobroma Cacao(Cocoa) Seed Butter, Fair Trade CertifiedTM *Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, *Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil, *Mentha Spicata (Spearmint) Oil, Mixed Tocopherols (Vitamin E), *Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, *Calendula Officinalis (Calendula) Flower Extract, *Eupatorium Rebaudianum Bertoni (Stevia) Leaf Extract.

The ingredients with an asterisk before them indicate that they are Certified Organic Ingredients.

As you can see from the ingredients list, these do not have beeswax, making them vegan-friendly! <3 🐝

What Does the Texture Feel Like?

These feel similar, better, IMO, to regular name-brand lip balms.

For example, if you’re coming from name-brand lip balms like Burts Bees, you’ll notice that they have a similar texture but feel a bit lighter on the lips.

I like how lightweight they feel.

It goes on effortlessly, and my lips feel hydrated all day, even through lunch!

Does It Leave a Color on the Lips?

If you look at the picture above again, you’ll see that all these balms are the same, semi-transparent color.

These go on clear and make your lips look nice and hydrated.

Is the Vegan Lip Balm by Eco Lips Worth It?

Truthfully, I spent a week with these products, but that was enough time to make up my mind about these products.

Since going vegan about two months ago, I’ve been on the hunt for some good lip balm to keep my big lips from drying up into dead skin.

Thankfully, I found these and enjoyed them!

At the time of posting, I couldn’t find these in stores, but you can buy the same three-pack I have on Amazon.

Have you tried these lip balms? Let me know what you think in the comments below. Also, if you recommend any other brand of cruelty-free, vegan lip balms that I should try, please mention them in the comments! 🙂
