KOS Organic Plant Protein Powder (Chocolate Flavor)

In search of an all-vegan, plant-based protein powder company, I stumbled upon KOS on Amazon.

Generally speaking, KOS Organic Plant Protein has a rich flavor that isn’t overpowering, mixes well in both almond milk and soy milk, and is fairly priced considering what you get in each serving.

For more on this protein powder, check out my in-depth review on it.

As well, you can check the current price of it on Amazon to compare your savings of buying on their site vs Amazon.

Solgar Iron (Vegetable Capsules)

A study on dietary reference intakes suggests that men and postmenopausal women should consume 8 mg per day.

Premenopausal women are suggested to consume 18 mg per day.

The iron supplement I recommend is the Solgar Gentle Iron.

The reason I suggest supplementing with a higher mg dosage is because people on a plant-based diet tend to have a lower iron absorption rate than meat eaters.

You can read more about iron in my Iron Deficiency: Can a Vegan Diet Cause Low Iron? post.

Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B5)

I’ve been using pantothenic acid since December 2019 to help clear my adult acne. Since then, my face has been about 95% acne free.

Pantothenic acid fights acne at it’s root, where the sebum is produced. Studies have shown that pantothenic acid supplementation significantly reduced facial acne over a 12 week testing period.

Here’s how I cleared my acne (well ~95% of it) with pantothenic acid.

Eco Lips Vegan Lip Balm

These are the first and only vegan lip balms I’ve ever tried. Honestly, I just am so content with these that I don’t feel the need to spend more money on trying out something else.

These Eco Lips Vegan Lip Balms stay on my lips for hours, seal in moisture, and are budget-friendly.

You can read my short review on them here.

Aztec Clay – Calcium Bentonite Clay

A powerful once-a-week mask to remove any pore impurities.

I use this clay with one part water and one part apple cider vinegar. If you’re new to Aztec healing clay masks, I suggest using it with water only for the first couple of masks. The first time I used it, with water, I actually felt my face pulsating. No seriously, it actually says it on the back of the tub.

It’s kind of weird, but it feels good IMO. If you’re like me, you’ll find yourself looking forward to it haha.

I’ve found this Aztec Clay at Whole Foods in the Whole Body department and online at Amazon.

Natural Moisturizing Factors Moisturizer by The Ordinary

This is my go-to daily moisturizer for my AM and PM skincare routine. It’s light and was formulated with no-BS ingredients.

Also, The Ordinary (DECIEM) does not test on animals. All products within The Ordinary are certified vegan by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

You can order this on The Ordinary’s website or on Amazon.

Protip: If you can wait til November, The Ordinary runs a “non-black Friday” shopping sale where the company encourages buyers to shop slow so as to prevent impulse buying/hysterical consumerism. It’s pretty much an extended sale that lasts a couple weeks. They want you to be able to carefully choose which products you actually want and give you time to research them. It’s pretty rad.

Dash Compact Air Fryer

I can’t tell you how many of my meals are cooked using an air fryer. Actually, I should probably write an article on that 🤔. They’re ridiculous, like ridiculously, easy to use and clean!

Back in 2018, I bought my first air fryer. It was super cute and compact. I wanted a compact air fryer specifically because I was living in an apartment with limited counter-top space.

My first one, the Dash Compact 1.2 L Air Fryer in aqua.

I recommend this compact air fryer to anyone who wants to up their oil-free game but has limited counter space to pick this bad boy up. Some foods I typically use an air fryer for is hash browns, meatless meatballs, chicken-less chicken nuggets, and you know, most frozen vegan items you’d find at Trader Joe’s haha 😋.

NuWave 3 Qt. Brio Air Fryer

For those of you who do have the extra counter space, I’d recommend the NuWave 3 Quart Brio Air Fryer.

I’ve had this bigger air fryer for a little over 3 months now and absolutely love it. The great thing about it is, since it has a bigger basket, it can cook more food 🤤

It’s also got a cool handle with a release lever that allows you to separate the basket from the bottom tray. This comes in handy when you want to quickly turn the basket upside down and empty the cooked food onto a bowl or plate instead of using tongs or a spoon to get the food out. Super handy!

Pizza Stone

Pizza stones are great for cooking pizza evenly and giving the crust a nice crunch. It mimics the cooking style of a traditional brick oven.

The pizza stone I have was passed down to my from my stepdad so I’m not sure what brand it is. However, this pizza stone looks like the one I have and has good ratings/reviews on Amazon.

TIP: When cooking with a pizza stone, preheat your oven with the stone on the rack. If you place the stone in after it’s been heated, the extreme temperature change may cause the stone to crack.

Pizza Peel

A pizza peel is used for getting homemade pizza or bread into an oven safely. I use my pizza peel to transfer it from my counter and onto my pizza stone! It also has a foldable handle for easy storage.

Cast Iron Skillet with Silicone Handle

I use a Lodge Cast Iron Skillet with a red silicone handle. If I can cook in a cast iron pan, chances are I’m going to. It just creates such a nice sear on the food while adding some iron from the cast iron.
